The other day news hit the web about the collaboration between Vashtie Kola and Jordan Brand. Keep in mind, Vashtie is the first female to ever design a shoe for Jordan Brand, and that alone is a major accomplishment. It’s also a good look for the female sneaker community because we all know that ladies don’t get the love they deserve in the shoe game. However, after this Vashtie & Jordan collab, hopefully we start to see more brands collaborate with female trendsetters.

Detroit, MI recording artist, Nametag presents the follow up single from his upcoming album THE NAME IS TAG set for a June 21st release.

The single this time is titled “Celebrate” produced by Black Milk and features fellow Michigan artist, Ro Spit who is also co-owner of Burn Rubber Sneaker Boutique in Royal Oak, MI.

“Celebrate” produced by Black Milk is a single that represents a feel good vibe of completing goals and celebrating life with your supporters and the people in your circle. It also represents being fresh from the music to the clothing as explained by both artists in the song.

When it comes to the Stan Smith there is no questioning the popularity and overall impact the model has had since it was first released by adidas in 1965. Getting given the treatment by a slew of collaborators over the last decade has meant a number of make-ups of the Stan Smith have been available, with varying degrees of impact…

The Stan Smith Mid though, hasn’t born the brunt of attention like its lower cut sibling, leaving room for some killer variations on the collaboration front. This joint effort, named ‘Raw Dogs’ sees OG New York based street-wear brand 10.Deep sprinkle some of their style on the Stan Smith Mid to produce a version worthy of both brand’s combined heritage.  The name plays off the rawhide laces and graphical monster mouth sock-liner while taking inspiration from the ongoing series of sticker attack tees from 10.Deep.

The upper is constructed from a premium suede in a muted Iron and Chrome colourway that reflects the 10.Deep motto – ‘forget everyone and listen to yourself’ – a motto that is reflected in further features including an embroidered 10.Deep and adidas tongue tag and an oversized embossed 10.Deep logo on the medial side of each upper.

Finished with an embossed combination 10.Deep and Trefoil logo on the heel-tab, the minimal, well thought out branding is the ideal accompaniment to the matching design aesthetic of the Stan Smith.

The 26th is going to be yet another busy day over at Burn Rubber. After the White Saturday sale we will be releasing the Acapulco Gold and Burn Rubber “Detroit Riots” collaborative capsule. Starting at Noon both sweat shirts (Navy and Gray) and both hats (Navy and Gray) will be available ONLINE and IN-STORE. This project was done in limited quantities so get there early! This Saturday December 5th at 12:00pm we will be releasing the highly anticipated Sneaker Freaker New Balance 850.
